The “Primato del Disegno” Exhibition
Beautiful exhibition and setup! A really interesting and new path. Admiring the drawings and sketches of great works is like to be a part of the creative process that led the author to create his masterpiece, as if we were there, in the instant of the birth of an idea.
Strongly supported by Dr. Sandrina Bandera (director of the Lombardy Museums), with the staging of the architect Alessandra Quarto (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities), the exhibition presents an important selection of Brera’s works on paper and prestigious loans from the most important Italian and foreign public collections: the Louvre, from the Albertina in Vienna, the Metropolitan Museum, the Morgan Library, the Uffizi Gallery etc.
A new and striking perspective that shows us design as a fundamental tool to read and understand the painting, which makes it even more dynamic analysis of the finished work, handing it to us observers with new details and suggestions.
